We're baaaack! As of Thursday, July 3, we're fencing on Thursday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 at the Luter Family YMCA in Smithfield.

NOTE: Dues must be paid up in order to fence to ensure we cover the floor fee. If you're not sure how much (or if) you owe, ask and/or bring payment with you.

ANOTHER NOTE: Yay! We're in a gym so lots of open space for practicing and it's a wooden floor, not cement or tile!

ANOTHER ANOTHER NOTE: Boo! It's not air conditioned. But it's still MUCH cooler than Nike Park was last summer! Fans are run during practice, there are two water fountains just down the hall, and there's a sitting area right outside the gym that is air conditioned so non-fencers can watch and hang out in chilled comfort. (And fencers can loiter to cool off a bit in between bouts!)

Socks are here! If you prepaid for socks, you can pick them up at any club session. If you didn't prepay (or preorder), you can still get a pair or two of your own. Just bring $15 per pair to any club session and they're yours!

Time is running out to register for the next beginner and intermediate classes in Poquoson. Classes start July 13. More details, including registration info, can be found here.

To our friends in the UK: Looking for the fencing club in the original Isle of Wight, the one that really is an isle and is located just off the coast of England?  Please visit the Solent Swords crew (and say 'hi' for us when you do!).  But of course, if you find yourself in southeastern Virginia, USA, feel free to stop by and say hi to us, too!
