Isle of Wight Fencing Club
Open fencing is held Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00. Not sure you're up for practicing with tournament-experienced fencers yet? Try our novice practices on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings instead. Tuesdays are 6:30 to 7:30, Wednesdays are 7:00 to 9:00, and Thursdays are 6:00 to 7:00.
Looking for something a little closer to where you live? Visit our extension club, the Poquoson Fencing Club.
Can I enter that tournament? What equipment do I need? Can I take pictures? How do pool scoresheets work? What are pool scoresheets? Answers to these questions and more can found here! How to Go to a Fencing Tournament was written for both fencers and non-fencers. Right-click on the link and choose 'Save Target As' or 'Save Link As' to download the .pdf file to your computer or left click the link to open it in your browser window.
To our friends in the UK: Looking for the fencing club in the original Isle of Wight, the one that really is an isle and is located just off the coast of England? Please visit the Solent Swords crew (and say 'hi' for us when you do!). But of course, if you find yourself in southeastern Virginia, USA, feel free to stop by and say hi to us, too!
